Within my cross-disciplinary practice that is informed by paper-based and time-based medium, I primarily work with video, performance and artist’s multiple that often incorporate fragmented stories or narratives associated with desire, obsession and retrospection. I am interested in exploring the subjectivity of encountering images, texts and sounds. My works are also often pillowed with a sense of anxiety. Being self-deprecating in my works sometimes allows me to communicate more freely, creating diaristic journeys about questioning – what we are seeing and understanding. My performance and video works often exist with objects, a slight hint of a space – such as living room, clinic, and theatre, playing with the idea of translating sensations, emotions and clichés.
